READ: 8.2&8.3 for Fri 11-20 - only the stuff that deals with sines and cosines and double angle formulas for 8.3;  8.4&8.5 for next week (Thanksgiving week - NO CLASS FRI 11-27

HOMEWORK DUE:  8.1 due Fri 11-20;   8.2&8.3 due Mon 11-23;   8.4 due Mon 11-30;   8.5 due Wed 12-2;  Wed. 12-2 is the last day to turn any work in.            

EVEN ANSWERS: Even answers for subsequent sections will be discussed in class as group work on the due dates.  Get help from me or the tutoring center if you're having problems with any of the homework.

2nd GROUP PROJECT:  Typo in handout in box - the quick example has 1 ft diameter, it should be 1 ft radius.  The project must be done in groups of 2 or 3 and each member turns in a copy of their work together with the rest of the group.  To get 3 bonus points all group copies must be turned in Monday, Nov. 16, to get 2 points, instead, turn in on Wed, Nov. 18 and 1 bonus point, Fri Nov 20.  The following Mon points will be deducted.  Groups of 1 get no bonus points.  Get the handout in class.  See the following website for the project:

Math65:       

READ: Sections 10.5&10.6 for Fri 11-20; 

HOMEWORK DUE:  10.1 due Fri.11-20; 1 0.5 due Mon 11-23;  10.6&10.7 due Mon 11-30;   11.3 due Wed 12-2.

SECOND PROJECT:  Get the hand out in class.  To get 2 bonus points your work must be turned in on or before Monday, Nov. 23; to get 1 bonus point, instead, turn in on Wed, Nov. 25.  The following Mon. 11-30, 1 point deducted and Wed. 12-2, 2 points will be deducted.  Wed. 12-2 is the last day to turn any work in.            

The last day to withdraw from class - and receive a "W" grade - is Wednesday, Dec. 2nd.  You will need the instructor's signature.
